Cleveland NORML will be meeting at Sidetrack's Café on December 3rd from 2pm to 4pm to host our open meeting. We welcome members and non-members alike! Join us in our fight to reform marijuana laws in Ohio and advocate for safe, compassionate access to marijuana for all patients!

- Meeting called to order at 4:37 p.m. by President Ben Morrison.
- February meeting minutes were approved without discussion
- Introductions of members and guests, requested all to sign in
President’s Report:
- Membership update: 34 members
- Website and content info updates. Asked all in attendance for original content and ideas, which can be added anonymously. Is anything really anonymous on the internet?
- Items and memberships are selling from our website, new items are being added for sale, noting that a membership was purchased online as we were speaking.
Treasurer’s Report:
- $504.61 plus the day’s new members (3) and renewals (2)
- Goal of 30 new members per month
- T-Shirts will be ordered to replenish diminishing stock for upcoming events
- Cleveland Pride – Saturday June 25, 2011 – Voinovich Park. There will be items for sale, including luxury brownies, Jeremy K.’s hemp products. Literature to be distributed. This event has been paid for and is insured.
- Volunteers will be needed
Other Business:
Jerry: Cleveland NORML March, May 7, 2011 - Cleveland Public Square
- Discussed clean-up, recruiting volunteers committed to the end, someone willing to stay with the tables while others march.
- Tent, chairs, tables, megaphone, our Banner.
- We should be there well enough before Noon to set up. The march starts at 1:00. Discussed the route, set up and break down of event. Two bands scheduled to play at Huntington Park. Resources. Mass Email Any speakers?
Ben: Distribution of our new post cards, tattoo parlors, etc.
- May be removing the leaf from some hand-outs to be more business-friendly.
Jamie: More participation would have been nice for Valentine’s Day vigil.
- Discussion of having more candle-light vigils in warmer weather as well.
Discussion:
- Dispensaries
- Methodist Church friendly to medical marijuana.
Brian A.:
- Helping with ballot initiative and the language it contains
- Laws, Political Action Committee
- Valid signatures from registered voters (350,000 necessary)
Jeremy K.:
- Hemp farming and help from Ron Paul from Texas.
- Vote Hemp – reintroduce in April

Another Patient Helped By Marijuana

Jacqueline suffers from Cerebral Palsy, as a result of this she has a severe stutter and has trouble using her right arm. The positive effect marijuana has on her is nothing short of amazing.

Jme Jackson, Cleveland NORML's vice president has been a longtime supporter of medical marijuana and a great friend to the cause. Oregon is a medical marijuana state, allowing those of us with real need to utilize the medicine we so desperately need.
