Addressing the Fifth National Clinical Conference on Cannabis Therapeutics held in Pacific Grove, CA, April, 2008, Bonnie Martin, RN, a representative of the California Nurses Association (co-sponsors of the conference) points out that, by law California nurses are required to be patient advocates. A central goal of the CNA is that "patients should not be forced to endure pain and suffering...and must be free to seek all therapeutic options". |
